 Tournament Rules:

·        8 overs a side Max.

·        Min. 3 bowlers to be used (Keeper can bowl too).

·        No player can bowl more than three overs.

·        Seam ball on Mat. Players in all Whites (Well…).

·        Five first round games. Draws will be randomly picked. The top two teams will play the finals. The top two teams are picked on a points system explained below. The finals winner will be decided on the same point system in case of a tie.

·        No runs behind point and square leg. Leg Umpire will be the authority on this. Any ball which falls inside the fair area and bounces into the no run region is a live ball and runs can be scored. No runs can be scored if the ball falls in the no run region and comes into the fair area.

·        Catches taken behind square leg and point are out.

·        No LBW decisions. No leg byes beyond square and point.

·        No 30 yard or field restrictions. The field is only 60 yards (from the center of the pitch).

·        Stumpings and run outs are valid.

·        Tie  - Same runs in all cases will be a tie no matter how many wickets were lost or what the run rate is.

·        The games will start at 10:00 AM sharp. The draw and playing times for teams will be posted one day ahead.

·        Each side will have 35 Minutes to bowl their 8 overs. Teams will be penalized for slow over rate. This is entirely the main umpires’ discretion.

·        The game will be played only on one side of the mat.

·        Umpires and scorers/statisticians will be from BGSC.

·        Will have volunteer fielders behind the wicket and outside the boundaries to speed up the games.

·        Balls will be provided by BGSC. (Can Choose New or Old ones).

·        No drinks breaks in between the 8 stipulated overs. Will have a 5-minute break for team changeover. When a batsman is out the next batsman coming in should cross the exiting batsman inside the ground, else the batting team will be penalized 5 runs for delay of game.

·        Fielders cannot talk on the ground once the bowler starts his run up. The bowling team will get one warning for this and the next instance the batting side will be offered 5 runs.

·        No Balls and Wides apply as usual. Any ball pitching outside the leg stump and crossing the batsman outside the leg stump will be called a wide. Not if it hits any part of the batsman.

·        Last man can bat with a runner from his team.

·        All match fees and team lists to be provided at the scores desk at least 15 minutes before the start of their scheduled game.

·        Each team has to provide one Umpire (will be used as leg umpire) to officiate for a game they are not playing in.

·        Both teams will get to bat their complete allocation of overs.  The team batting second who may have won the match will continue to bat till the end of the allocated overs or till they are all out, whichever comes first.

·        The finalists will be the top two teams with the highest points in the first round matches. If there are two teams tied with the same points, run rate will be used to select the finalists.

·        Any ball full of length above the waist of the batsman is a No Ball.
